Taught by international touring DJs, our DJ courses are specifically tailored to accommodate each student's needs.

Students have the unique opportunity to showcase their talents live in front of family and friends in our exquisite Artists Lounge where their sets will be live streamed on Instagram, added to the Chicago DJ Academy YouTube channel, and air on our own radio station - Chicago Tech House Radio.

Music Production

Our music production courses are taught by industry veterans with well over a decade of experience in Ableton Live. Whether you’re just starting out or want to polish your skills and take your music to the next level, we'll help you learn to bring your creative force to life.

Music production students will have the opportunity for their work to be signed to Direct Action Records.

Artist Development

Equip yourself with the tools to cultivate and keep a dedicated fanbase. Our artist development and mentoring services are the catalyst. Press kits, website design, content production, social media engagement, marketing, maximizing reach - whatever is needed to help you grow as an artist.

■ OUR STORY

Chicago DJ Academy was founded in 2025 by Dorian Westwood and Joe Scharnak. There was a gap in Chicago’s vibrant and storied dance music community and a need to create a place where newcomers and seasoned professionals alike could learn, collaborate, communicate, and flourish. To fulfill the mission, they carefully recruited a diverse and talented crew of like-minded dance music professionals who share their vision and passion for elevating people in the scene.
